The BOARDS ONLINE speed ladder allows you
to display to the world any speeds you have
recorded while windsurfing, whether officially
at a speed event, or unofficially using
your own GPS receiver, radar system, timed
course or whatever.
RULES
While the speeds may be viewed by anyone,
only registered members of the BOARDS ONLINE
windsurfing community can enter
speeds.
You are not currently registered or logged into this site! However, it will only take a few moments to get this sorted.

in the boxes below the BOARDS logo at the top left of
this screen, or click

BOARDS Magazine takes no responsibility
for the accuracy of the speeds listed here.
We are acting totally on trust.
Entering Speeds
You may enter as many different speeds
as you wish (but there is no point in cluttering
up the site with too many results, so we'd
suggest that you don't have more than a
few running concurrently. You can delete
unwanted listings at any time
While it is not compulsory to fill out
every field, please give as much detail
as you can when entering a new speed listing.
To allow the system to list them in correct
order, all speeds need to be entered
in Knots (nautical miles per hour).
A conversion calculator is available on
the speed entry page, to convert from other
common units, such as MPH, KPH, m/s, etc.
Your speed listing will be displayed on
the site as soon as it has been entered,
and all the information you have given will
be in the public domain. BOARDS Magazine
takes no responsibility for any embarrassment
caused or any other circumstances which
may arise as a result of you displaying
your speed listings on this site.
You can return to your speed listing at
any time and edit any aspect of it, including
the ratifier names if it is an unofficially
recorded speed. You can also delete a listing
at any time.
Unofficial Speeds
If your speed was not recorded at an official
event, it will gain greater credence if
you can get it vouched for by one or preferably
two other site members. When you enter the
speed, you will be given the opportunity
to name up to two potential ratifiers. When
you click the submit button to post the
listing, they will be sent an email asking
them to log on and ratify the speed. (You
may wish to chase them up on this!). When
they do so, you will be advised by email
and your listing re-graded accordingly.
BOARDS Magazine can play no part or take
no responsibility for the correspondence
between yourself and your ratifiers and
the progress of your ratification. If
they do not choose to ratify your speed,
you can replace them with another would-be
ratifier.
Disputes
BOARDS Magazine cannot monitor the accuracy
of speeds listed on this site, nor get involved
in any disputes as to the authenticity of
a ranking. If a patently ridiculous listing
is brought to our attention we will delete
it, but other than that, we cannot play
any part in policing the listings displayed
here. If you wish to challenge the person
posting the result, you can email them by
clicking on their name on the listing, and
proceeding from there. (If enough people
challenge a result it may force the person
who posted it to delete it from the listings,
which they can easily do). |
